In Brightlingsea we are 30 minutes from Harwich international Port (Ferry Stena Line, Hook of Holland to Harwich), and just an hour from Stanstead Airport!  We are also just 20 minutes from Colchester and and hour from London Liverpool Street Station. Why suffer an impersonal stay in Oxford or London? Why fly and then suffer long train journeys stuck in a city staying with people you don't know or even an hotel? Stay in Brightlingsea, one of the few  historical Cinque Ports in England, close to the Victorian bathing town of Clacton-on-Sea established as a town in 1871, but founded by the Celts in 100 BC and used by the Romans as a "holiday resort". Clacton on Sea has a maritime climate, meaning palm trees and more sunshine hours - forget fog and smog.  You will be 20 minutes from Colchester the oldest recorded city in England, and within some of the best nature reserves in the UK.

Combine your stay with golf, sailing, fishing within the nature reserves here & of course sea fishing. Walking or visiting the many beaches or nature reserves and historic sites in the region.  There are also numerous water sports on offer such as sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and canoeing. Our family are active members of the Brightlingsea Sailing Club which has produced many World-Class sailors. The city of Colchester is believed to be the oldest town in England with Celtic records dating back to well before history was recorded.  There are numerous pre-historical sites to visit. 

For those who like it "lively" there is the famous Clacton Pier, with bowling pubs, clubs and many other holiday-style venues on offer.

It could also be an ideal opportunity to bring your family.  Through our 4 boys we have networks that can offer your kids all of the above activities as young learners - what better way to learn English than by learning a new sport or activity?

You will stay with one of our trusted partners,  and their friends and be exposed to whatever aspects of English culture you choose.  Wherever you stay, you will socialise with us after training sessions. The area offers sport, culture, theatre - also traditional "Music Hall", or just fish and chips on the beach and a game of "Bingo"!. Golf, and coarse fishing are included if you stay at the Orchards. All of our accomodation welcoming and comfortable - you are a guest of our family-  and breakfast is of course part of the day.  We also offer self-catering for those who prefer.  Clacton and Brightlingsea offer an endless variety of restaurants and cafes specialising in Seafood from budget to luxurious, all styles of traditional "British" cuisine are on offer especially top quality "fish & chips"  Indian and Chinese restaurants.  The key benefit is that, should you choose, we will also organise for you to work for a day or more in a local business appropriate to your industry.  That way you will be exposed to all aspects of English and not stuck in a classroom which is the last thing you want or need.
